Beach The public beach, with no lifeguard, stretches for 1200 metres of very fine white sand along the magnificent Kata Bay. It is equipped with deckchairs, a few parasols and showers at the edge of the beach. Parks & Gardens The luxuriant vegetation consists of bougainvillea, hibiscus and impressive trees such as acacias, ficus and a number of varieties of palms spread through the 12 hectares of gardens. Several pools and variable lighting enhance the landscape. Accommodation Club Med Phuket Resort, which extends over 61 acres, is set in a vast palm grove on the beach of Kata Bay. 305 rooms decorated in hues of cream and white are accented with teak, silk wood and touches of marble and are spread over "long houses".
