Set on the east coast of Zanzibar, about 45 km from the airport, Mapenzi Beach Club perfectly blends in the natural environment of the surrounding landscape covering an area of 4 hectares blessed with a long white sand beach and a tropical garden of palms and colorful bougainvillea
The 87 spacious and comfortable bungalows are charmingly furnished in the traditional East African style. Mosquito nets are provided over the beds and every room is fitted with individual air conditioning system, ceiling fan, telephone for internal use, hairdryer and safe deposit box. A nice veranda in front of each bungalow offers the perfect place to indulge in a moment of laziness and relaxation.
Restaurants and Bars
Overlooking the stunning gardens with a glimpse at the ocean is the main restaurant where guests can enjoy the taste of the international cuisine and the local flavours at the kiswahili corner. Breakfast is served from 07:30 to 10:00 Buffet lunch is served from 13:00 to 15:00 and buffet dinner is served from 20:00 to 22:00
The Pool Bar is open from 10:00 to 01:00 and serves snacks, soft drinks, housewines, tea and coffee. From 18:00 to 01:00 "sundowners", local spirits and cocktails are also available.
